National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday organized an awareness walk, 'Say no to Corruption', for eradication menace of corruption for the country at Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Tuesday. President Mamnoon Hussain along with people from different walks of life including diplomats, President of AJK, University, Colleges, School students, Diplomats, Pakistan's National Hockey Players, scouts, teachers, Motorway, Islamabad and Traffic Police high ups/officials, OGDCL, Civil Society, PIA, Journalists and large number of people from all walks of life participated in the walk.
President Mamnoon Hussain while addressing the participants said corruption is hampering development and prosperity of the country, urging all segments of the society to play their due role in eradicating the menace of corruption. He was of the opinion that large number of participation of people in this walk from different walks of life proves that they want to create a corruption free society.
NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry while addressing the participants said NAB has organized awareness Walk at Aiwan-e-Sadr which will help in creating awareness against the ill effects of corruption. He thanked the president for their encouraging remarks about NAB, saying it will increase their morale to fight more vigorously to curb corruption from the country. He said NAB believes in zero tolerance against corruption and we are committed to eradicate corruption from the country. He also stated that anti-corruption message of NAB will reach across the globe that will help the country in establishing positive image. He said according to recently issued Corruption Perception Index of Transparency International Pakistan ranked at 126 from 175 which is because of serious efforts of NAB.-PR
