HCCI seeks action against land mafia

Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) has expressed serious concerns over the alleged rising activities of land mafia in Hyderabad. President HCCI, Goharullah in a statement released here on Thursday said land mafia has resumed its activities once again where plots and lands of business community are being occupied illegally, adding the fake documents for legalising their illegal land and plots occupation are being made.
It is causing huge losses to the business community, he said. Some area of the land for building HCCI building allocated by the then Governor Sindh, Mian Muhammad Soomro was also in possession of land mafia, he said.
The area was meant for exhibition center, marketing center, exports center and other centers for promoting business activities in Hyderabad and other parts of Sindh, the president HCCI said. He appealed to higher authority to take serious action against land grabbers.
