Pakistan's Ambassador to Paris Ghalib Iqbal Monday said that Pakistan was the home of the most resilient people across the globe that had proved time and again that they could not be deterred under any circumstances. He was speaking at the flag hoisting ceremony organized to celebrate 75th Pakistan Day at the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris said a message received here.
Despite being in the grip of all kinds of terrorism, natural calamities from time to time and a huge load of internal and external refugees, its economy was growing, as indicated by international economic monitors, he added. The ambassador said that the people of Pakistan had given immense sacrifices for their peace and prosperity, which had been continuously threatened by the enemies of Pakistan. The success of on-going operations against terrorism was vital for the development of the nation, he said, emphasising that unity was the key to success against the forces of chaos.
Addressing the members of community, he said being ambassador of Pakistan abroad every Pakistani living in France had to present a real and positive picture of the country and its people. He asked them to display exemplary discipline and character, while in a foreign country.
The ceremony was attended by the members of Pakistani community and staff and officers of the embassy and their families. Children waving Pakistani flags in their hands, raising slogans of Pakistan Zindabad attended the ceremony in a large number.
