Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Siddiqui Sunday said that maintaining peace in Karachi during NA-246 by-election is a challenge for the city's administration. Talking to media persons here, the Commissioner said that peace in the entire country is directly linked with Karachi.
He said that the Rangers' targeted operation against the criminals in Karachi has produced fruitful results. Siddiqui vowed that action would be taken against law abettors in NA-246, where by-election is scheduled to be held on April 23.
To a question, Karachi Commissioner said that it is a responsibility of the government to entertain demands of the election candidates.
On the occasion, Karachi police Chief Ghulam Qadir Thebo called upon the political parties to abide by the code of conduct prepared ahead of the by-elections.
