ICMA holds 8th 'Directors Training Programme'

ICMA Pakistan organised its eighth Directors Training Programme at Islamabad, which was attended by many managing directors, CEOs and top level executives of different organisations. Participants who have attended the programme became "Certified Directors" under the Code of Corporate Governance of Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
Speaking during the price distribution ceremony, Kashif Mateen Ansari, President ICMA Pakistan informed that the ICMA Pakistan was a recognised professional institution of international repute and had distinction of being the sole regulatory body of Management Accounting profession in Pakistan.
He said "it has been granted statutory status through CMA Act 1966 of the Parliament. ICMA Pakistan has a sound track record of providing professional trainings to the business and corporate sector, including trainings on corporate governance."
That track record merited the attention of the SECP in allowing the Institute to offer the Directors Training Programme, Ansari added.
He informed that as of date 110 senior executives had become Certified Directors from the forum ICMAP.
He opined that the ICMA Pakistan's DTP had been specifically designed to impart knowledge of good governance and develop necessary skills of the Board of Directors of listed companies for successful achievement of company's objectives through Corporate Governance.-PR
