One of the leading Pakistan Mix Martial Arts (MMA) fighter and international champion Ahmed Mujtaba has launched a local fighting event to promote the sport in the country.
The new MMA franchise named 'Prime Fight Series' has been started with the partnership of Fitness Fighting Club Gujrat. The event is being led under the vision of Ahmed 'Wolverine' Mujtaba and promoted by Fitness Fighting Club owner Adnan Ali, who is also the director of Prime Fight Series.
Mujtaba is the chairman of the new promotion where over 10 fighters will participate in seven MMA Pro Bouts and five amateur MMA fights. A couple of MuayThai fights are also expected to take place at the event. Fighters from Russia and Afghanistan will also compete on July 22 in Gujrat, Punjab.
"I see all the fighters from Pakistan as my family and it's my responsibility to do something for them. That's why I created a small show for these guys,” Ahmed said while addressing a press conference.
Prime Fight Series Director Adnan Ali said, “We will support the MMA and MuayThai in Pakistan and InshaAllah through this fighting competition new talent will come up and the world will admire the Pakistan Mix Martial Arts athletes”.
