The three-day annual sports 2015 of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) was concluded here at Wapda Stadium on Thursday. Deputy Managing Director (Operation), Amjad Latif of the Company was the chief guest and distributed the shields and prizes among the winning sportsmen and women.
A total number of 288 male / female players from 19 teams belonging to 13 regional offices Abbotabad, Bahawalpur, Faislabad, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Multan, Peshawar, Wah region, Projects and Head Office participated in the events of Badminton (Single), Badminton (Double), Table Tennis (Single), Table Tennis (Double), Rally Race, Long Jump, Tug of War, Volley Ball Shot Put and High Jump.
Head Office Team secured first position with 47 points, Peshawar Region Team bagged second position with 40 points while Multan (Distribution) Team stood third with 36 points. Whereas, the winners of different games in individual category are Men Table Tennis Single (Head Office), Men Badminton Double (Head Office), Men Table Tennis Single (Head Office), Women Badminton Single (Lahore Region), Women Table Tennis Single (Lahore), Tug of War (Lahore Distribution), Long Jump (Peshawar), 200 meter race ( Peshawar), Volley ball ( Peshawar),100 meter race ( Peshawar), Men Table Tennis Double (Islamabad), Shot put (Lahore Distribution),Men Badminton Single (Rawalpindi), 4x100 meter rally race (Multan Distribution), High Jump (Wah transmission).
