The employees of Sindh Seed Corporation (SSC) staged a protest outside their office at Hussainabad on Tuesday against non-payment their salaries for 10 months. Leading the protest, Ghulam Qadir Khoso, Muhammad Ali, Nisar Ahmed Khaskheli and others said that the Managing Director of Corporation had not been appointed for the last 10 months, depriving them of their salaries.
Moreover, the huge loss had occurred to the corporation as wheat seeds could not have been sold last year whereas about 30000 maund seed was still lying in go-down, they said.
Despite availability of funds for transportation, the seed could not be exported, they alleged.
They added that seeds of rice and maize could not have been sold so far. They appealed to the government to appoint MD as soon as possible to save the corporation from falling in crisis.
