Hameed Haroon, President and Sarmad Ali, Secretary General of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), have expressed their profound grief on behalf of the office-bearers and the executive committee of the Society over the sad and untimely death of Masood Hamid, Director Marketing, Daily Dawn and former Secretary General, APNS.
The office-bearers noted that Masood Hamid served the Dawn Group for about 30 years and actively promoted the cause of newspaper industry. He was elected the Secretary General of All Pakistan Newspapers Society(APNS) for two terms and headed the marketing team of PHPL as Director Marketing. The APNS acknowledging the services of Hamid has observed that newspaper industry has lost in him a talented and young colleague .
The office-bearers and members of the Executive Committee have offered their condolence to the bereaved family and colleagues. They prayed that Almighty Allah may rest the departed soul in peace and give them courage and patience to bear this irreparable loss. Members of the APNS join his family in the hour of their grief.-PR
