Sindh High Court on Thursday admitted plea of Faisal Mota, a convict in Wali Babar murder case, against the death penalty handed down by an Anti-terrorism Court (ATC). The court will take up the plea for hearing along with applications of four other convicts, challenging the sentences awarded by the lower court in the murder case. Meanwhile, a division bench of SHC also summoned SSP South Zone with a report in a case pertaining to a missing Muttahida Qaumi Movement worker.
During the hearing, applicant Feroza Begum told the bench that her son Irshad was picked up by LEAs on October 2, 2013.
