The Islamabad High Court on Thursday accepted an unconditional apology of Inspector General Police Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan in a matter of offensive remarks against the judiciary. The IHC has expressed annoyance over offensive remarks passed by the IGP and summoned him to appear in person before the court in the matter.
On Thursday, appearing before a division bench Justice Noor-ul-Haq N Qureshi and Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, the IGP submitted that a mistake was made by a junior officer but assured the court that he would be more vigilant next time. To which the court disposed of the matter.
