Director General Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Dr Sajjad Ahmed Baloch on Thursday said that the authority was working on a project to send 100 local students to China for getting vocational training. Talking to PTV, he said the training would be aimed at making the Baloch youth a skilled and useful workforce to be deployed in social sectors attached with the Gwadar development.
Accordingly, he said deliberations with the Balochistan Chief Minister were underway. To a question, the DG said the authority has formed a task force, comprising representatives of locals, to further improve civic services being provided in the area. He said the services like water supply and sewerage system was being improved to extend maximum facilities to the residents. Dr Sajjad said all out efforts were being made to end sense of deprivation of the Baloch people and getting their maximum involvement in development of the area.
