Dr Tahirul Qadri, chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, has said the coward rulers have gone berserk and has started to arrest PAT workers in vengeance and has started the murder of justice in the open now. Addressing PAT Lawyers Wing leaders via video-link, the PAT chairman said "false and fictitious cases are being lodged against our workers." He said "I hold my workers dearer than anything, even my own children, and will not tolerate any injustice against them."
He said ruthless crackdown has been started against our workers and household items worth millions has been looted or burnt by the raiding officials. He said "the dilemma is that after raiding our house, cases have also been filed against us." Dr Tahirul Qadri said the 'Qatal-e-Alla' of Punjab had personally ordered that crackdown on PAT workers to pressurise PAT on the Model Town killings case. He said "we will go to every length in seeking justice for our workers who were killed in the Model Town incident and will not budge an inch from our stated stance."
He said seven months had passed since the filing of the FIR but "still we await free, fair and open investigation in the case." He said the courts gave long dates for the Model Town case, but were ready to hear false cases filed against PAT workers on a daily basis. He questioned, "Is this justice." He said justice delayed was justice denied. He said the rulers must understand to desist from such actions and stop injustices against PAT workers.
