Guwar prices were sharply higher on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday in the process of moderate trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Guwar Sindh gained Rs 400 to Rs 6100-6200, Guwar Punjab low type gained Rs 500 to Rs 5700 and the superior quality rose by Rs 400 to Rs 5800, Masoor Canada low type was up by Rs 300 to Rs 9500 and the best quality was higher by Rs 1600 to Rs 11000, Masoor Dall Canada, however, lost Rs 800 to Rs 10000 and the good type was down by Rs 700 to Rs 10200, they said.
On the seeds side, Til small fell by Rs 200 to Rs 4150, cottonseeds oilcake with low type did not move any side at Rs 1650 while the best quality picked up Rs 200 to Rs 1800, other items maintained overnight levels, they said. Prices were unmoved on the grams and rice sectors, they said.
