Grams prices were sharply higher on the local wholesale grain market on Monday in the process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Urad Burma went up by Rs 1000 to Rs 13500 due to strong demand, other items maintained week-end levels, they said.
On the grams side, grams Australia No.1 gained Rs 1000 to Rs 7000, grams Dall Australia No.2 rose by Rs 1200 to Rs 7700, grams 50x50 was up by Rs 800 to Rs 6800, grams Dall 50x50 also picked up Rs 1050 to Rs 7400, yellow peas Russia was up by Rs 200 to Rs 4400 and yellow peas Dall Russian also gained the same amount to Rs 4900, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low variety was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 1750 and the good variety showed no change at Rs 1800, they said. Prices were unmoved on the rice sector, they said.
