Corn and soyabean spot basis bids were mostly steady to higher around the US Midwest on Thursday, buoyed by an overall slow pace of farmer sales and good demand, especially from processors of the commodities, dealers said. Bids for each crop jumped at a closely watched processor in Decatur, Illinois. Corn bids also gained at an Iowa elevator and a terminal along the Mississippi River.
