Expressing her wish to collaborate with B-Town’s legendary singer AR Rahman, American singer Selena Gomez has said that it will be beautiful to sing for a Bollywood movie.
In an interview to Mid-Day, the Disney star said that she would love to work with AR Rahman. “I have been following a few musicians in India and I believe they are wonderful. I like AR Rahman’s work. He is a global figure today. I would love to sing or be part of his compositions. I think it would be beautiful to sing for a Bollywood [movie],” she said.
Selena seems to really be a fan of Bollywood, as she has made her love for it known to the public with her song ‘Come & Get it’ that had elements of Indian music. She even wore a bindi during her 2013 MTV Movie Awards while performing on the same song and at other events too.
In a previous interview, when she was questioned about sporting a bindi during a concert, Selena indicated about her love for the Hindu culture. “My hairstylist and my makeup artist are actually really big into the whole culture — they’ve been around, they’ve traveled and they have gotten me into various books. I’ve been traveling, too. It’s been really fun to explore that because it’s a very different view and it’s such a beautiful culture,” she said.
On the work front, Selena has lent her voice over for the animated movie ‘Hotel Transylvania 3’, which is running successfully worldwide. The film, directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, also features Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Kevin James, David Spade and more.
