Expanding Gadoon Industrial Estate: KP acquiring 200 acres of land

A meeting held here with KP Assembly Speaker, Asad Qaiser in the chair Monday was told that 200 acres more land is being acquired to expand Gadoon Industrial Estate, Swabi. The meeting discussed expansion, granting model estate status to Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate, establishment of technical training centre, rehabilitation of infrastructure, rights of employers and employees other problems.
Those who attended were included Managing Director (MD) TEVTA, M. Tahir Orakzai, Special Secretary, Mohammad Roohullah Khan, president, Gadoon Industrial Estate, Mohammad Zahid Shah and vice president, Fazal Rahim. The meeting also reviewed in detail different matters relating to provision of maximum incentives to the estate to make it further attractive for investors and bringing improvement in the road infrastructure inside it and took several decisions in this regard.
The meeting also decided the establishment of a technical college at Gadoon Industrial Estate where the manpower will be imparted technical and professional training as demands of the industries. Addressing the meeting, the Speaker Asad Qaiser said that the establishment of technical college in Gadoon Industrial Estate will leave very positive and far-reaching impacts, which will not only help eradicate unemployment in the area, but will also provide trained manpower for the industrial units.
He made it clear that they will leave no stone unturned in converting Gadoon Industrial Estate into a leading estate and provision of maximum incentives to it. He said that the rehabilitation of industries and provision of employment atop his priorities and vowed to leave no stone unturned in this regard.
