Chairman of the three-member General Election 2013 Inquiry Commission (GEIC), Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk, on Thursday summoned three witnesses after recording testimony of former Provincial Election Commissioner Punjab Mehboob Anwar. During the course of hearing, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) counsel and lawyer for Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) completed cross examination of Anwar.
So far the GEIC has recorded the statements of three witnesses from the list of 14 persons provided by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as former Chief Secretary Punjab Javed Iqbal, Additional Chief Secretary Rao Iftikhar and Provincial Election Commissioner Mehboob Anwar were cross examined till Thursday.
Three Managing Directors of Printing Corporation of Pakistan Press (PCPP) Lahore, M. Rafique, Managing Director of the PCPP Islamabad Masood Raza, and Managing Director of Postal Foundation Press at Islamabad were summoned to record their statements. Later, the GEIC adjourned hearing of the matter till May 15 (today).
