100 Pakistanis living in Yemen willingly: National Assembly body informed

National Assembly Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resources was informed that as many as 100 Pakistanis are living in Yemen willingly and 11 are in jails. The Committee met with Mir Aamer Ali Khan Magsi in the chair at Parliament House on Friday. The Committee discussed to consider the matter regarding safe evacuation of Pakistanis from Yemen.
The Committee appreciated the efforts of the Civil Aviation Authority, PIAC, Pakistan Navy and Overseas Pakistanis Foundation for the safe evacuation of Pakistanis from Yemen. The Committee was informed that one hundred Pakistanis were living in Yemen willingly and also eleven prisoners are still in jails in Yemen. The Committee recommended that the appreciation letters should be written to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ambassador of Pakistan in Yemen, Civil Aviation Authority, PIAC, Pakistan Navy and Overseas Pakistanis Foundation. The Committee was informed that 1037 Pakistanis were evacuated safely from Yemen in time under the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan, Chaudhry Abid Raza, Syed Sajid Medhi, Mian Najeebuddin Awaisi, Mian Imtiaz Ahmad, Sabiha Nazir, Shakila Khalid Luqman, Musarat Rafique Mahesar, Sheikh Salahuddin, Aliya Kamran, Aisha, MNAs and Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashdi, Minister for Overseas Pakistanis & HRD, attended the meeting, besides officials of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & HRD.
