Imran suspends political activities in KP till LB polls

The KP government on Tuesday announced that PTI Chief Imran Khan has suspended all political activities in the province till Local Bodies' polls. This was announced by Provincial Minister for Information Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani while addressing a press conference held at Peshawar Press Club.
The provincial minister said that all public meetings of the PTI chief in Abbottabad, Haripur and Mansehra have been cancelled after criticism from certain quarters due to LB elections. He said that some people are connecting the Imran's public meetings with LB polls which were misconception. He said that after May 30, all activities of the PTI chief will be rescheduled.
He said PTI has accepted all rules of the Election Commission of Pakistan and would never violate rules and Code of Conduct.
Ghani said PTI led provincial government is taking measures to strengthen all institutions and make change in the province. He said that during last two years the PTI government had rendered efforts for eradication of corruption and good governance in the province. For this purpose, several laws have been passed, he added.
The provincial minister said that the reforms introduced by the KP government have been acknowledged by the people and on basis of their performance the electorates will vote in favour of their candidate in LB polls.
