"Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has been recruiting new teachers for its institutes across the Punjab. Teachers for the post from Grades 14 to 17 are being inducted," Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Shaikh told in the meeting about the recruitment of new teachers. He said, "To ensure transparency and merit in the recruitment procedure, services of the National Testing Service in Islamabad are hired to conduct the test.
The test has been conducted by the Service and 7,546 candidates have been passed. The names of successful candidates have been displayed on the Service website. To conduct interviews at district level, the selection committees have been notified. The district co-ordination officer of the concerned district will be the head of a selection committee."
He also said the Punjab CM has allowed the recruitment of new teaching staff to meet a shortage of teaching faculty in the institute. "The new induction of teaching staff will facilitate to appoint dynamic and intelligent people. All the recruitment procedure is fair and transparent. New teachers will hopefully be inducted by the end of June this year after following the laid down recruitment procedure," he added.
