Law and order in country comparatively better: Shah

25 May, 2015

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khurshid Ahmed Shah has said that law and order situation in the country is now comparatively better. Talking to media here on Sunday, he said that Pakistan's commitment to eliminate terrorism remains undeterred. Pakistan has rendered enormous sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, he added.
Shah said the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation is a clear manifestation of our nation's resolve to root out terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations. Pakistan's political leadership, parliament, state institutions and the whole nation are fully united in this resolve, he said.
He expressed the hope that after Zimbabwe, sports teams from other countries will also visit Pakistan and one day the country will become a major host of international cricket.
In response to a question about former home minister Zulfiqar Mirza, he said, politicians should not resort to indecent language and behaviour.
Talking about the Axact scam, he said it would be wrong to jump to any conclusion rather a detailed inquiry should be carried out. "I have already talked about forming a judicial commission on the Axact issue to make things clear," he added.
