Two-day summer festival concludes in Peshawar

With a lot of funfair, a two-day summer festival concluded at Ladies Club, Peshawar, here on Sunday. The festival was jointly organised by Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) and district administration at ladies club Peshawar. At the closing ceremony, Secretary Tourism Sports, Archaeology, Youth Affairs, Dr Aftab Akbar Durrani was chief guest.
On the occasion, Additional Secretary Sports, Tourism Naeem Akhtar, TCKP Managing Director Mushtaq Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Riaz Khan Mehsud, and other high officials were also present.
A total of 25 installs were set-up at the festival, including traditional food, fast food, female handmade and embroidery stuffs, readymade garments, and other cultural stalls. Performers fascinated families and participants by presenting traditional khattak, mehsud, and attan dances, while entering main venue of the fest. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Aftab Durrani said that they have planned such more events in coming day, aimed at to providing recreational opportunities to people affected by prolonged terrorism.
