25 May, 2015

The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has deputed newly recruited 16 subject specialists (SS) with the partner schools in ten different districts in Punjab. These subject specialists will teach the subjects of science, mathematics and English to their students. These schools are partnered with the foundation under its Subject Based Support Program (SBSP) which is launched to provide master degree holder subject specialists to help improve the overall academic standards of these low-cost schools which are mostly situated in city-slums or in remote hinterlands where students mostly cannot afford admission in elite institutions.
In this regard, an orientation session was held at PEF head office Sunday to sensitise the newly appointed subject specialists about free educational programs and their role in it.
