Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-Sami (JUI-S) chief, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has said that negative propaganda against religious seminaries of promoting terrorism is baseless. He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony here on Sunday. A large number of people including JUI-S local leaders and party workers were present on the occasion.
Sami-ul-Haq said that seminaries are engaged in promoting religious education and allegations regarding their involvement in anti-state activities were unfound.
He said that wherever there was a terror attack across the country, some elements start propaganda against religious seminaries without evidence or having any proof which must come to an end.
The JUI-S chief said that terrorists recently arrested in Karachi included master degree holders of renowned universities.
He said that terrorists have no religion or countries and they are enemies of entire humanity who work to fulfil nefarious designs of certain powers.
The Maulana stressed on the need of finding out the reasons which forced the educated youth to take life of innocent people as according to him poverty, lawlessness and unemployment are also some of the reasons and to take steps to deal with them.
