As promised earlier, Pakistan Army is playing its role of providing security to the voters in the general elections, for which the public is showing their love to the army by showering them with kisses, flowers and hugs.
Although not every political party was satisfied with the idea of army being deployed both inside and outside the polling stations, the public made sure to thank the army for ensuring, as they promised, 'free and fair elections'.
In a press conference, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor asserted that Pakistan Armed Forces would enable the country’s citizens to freely exercise their right to vote with the army being deployed at the polling stations to overlook the elections.
Fulling their promise, numerous security officials were present inside and outside polling stations, ensuring safety of the voters. People including children and senior citizens expressed their gratitude towards the army soldiers by showering them with flowers, kisses and bouquets.

DG ISPR had also assured that the army will provide its complete support and will help the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in a ‘non-political, non-partisan manner’ to carry out the polling process. As per DG ISPR, around 371,000 security forces officials have been deployed at polling station across Pakistan.
