Former best friends Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have always stood by each other in tough times. Now that Demi has been hospitalized due to a drug overdose, Selena is quite disturbed over her friend's health condition.

Demi was found unconscious on Tuesday at her home in Los Angeles after an apparent overdose. An eyewitness told E! news, “On Wednesday that they saw Demi and a big group of friends drinking at the Saddle Ranch bar and restaurant in Los Angeles the night before her apparent overdose, adding that they stayed until closing time”.

Demi was promptly shifted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. Later the singer's publicist said, "Demi is awake with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support."

According to E! news a sources has said, “When Selena found out the news about Demi, she was very upset and emotional. Selena has reached out to Demi's family members to share her love and prayers, and she is really distraught about her health. She hates that Demi has been suffering."

Celebrities including Nick Jonas and Ariana Grande socially shared their support to the pop star. Singer’s ex-boyfriends Wilmer Valderrama paid a visit to hospital, while Joe Jonas tweeted, “Like all of you I am thinking of Demi Lovato right now. She needs our prayers and support. We all know how strong you are Demi. Pray for Demi” .
