Members of the National and Provincial Assemblies from various districts met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday to talk about the Ramazan spending. The chief minister claimed that the Punjab government was spending billions of rupees to provide relief to people during Ramazan and that a subsidy of Rs 3.5 billion had been given in provision of cheap flour under the package in bazaars in the whole province.
He also said that flour, sugar, ghee, pulses, vegetables and fruits would be available in the bazaars and that he himself would monitor the implementation of package. He said elected representatives with the administration would have to play their due role in providing fruits of the package to the public. Those who met him were Members of the National Assembly Syed Javed Ali Shah and Wasim Akhtar Sheikh and of the Provincial Assembly Maulana Muhammad Rahmatullah, Mian Muhammad Rafiq, Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf Warraich, Qaiser Iqbal Sandhu and Mansha Ullah Butt.
