A former Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court (BHC), Abdul Qadir Mengal on Sunday demanded establishment of a registry of BHC at Khuzdar. Addressing a press conference here at his chambers, he said that the litigants of Khuzdar had to travel to Quetta, some 350 kilometers for redressal of their problems.Despite expenses of boarding and travelling and completing legal formalities, the people had to suffer problems in registration of their cases, he added.
The problems faced by common litigants in getting justice could be minimised if a registry would be established at the district where new cases could be instituted or filed for further hearing at principle seat of Quetta, he said.
He also offered free legal assistance to all needy and said that he would first make attempt to solve the legal issue by resorting to Alternate Dispute Resolution method based on Shariah, law and tradition.
He urged the elected representatives and government officials concerned to ensure on time completion of educational schemes and projects.
