A two-member investigation team of the Scotland Yard along with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials Tuesday started grilling Moazzam Ali Khan, a key suspect in Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq murder case.
Sources said that the two-member Scotland Yard team including Stuart Michael Greenaway and David Jonathan Tan has started probing the murder case. "Moazzam Ali has confessed to his crimes before Pakistani investigators and his confession before the Scotland Yard team will further strengthen the investigation of Dr Imran murder case," they said.
They said the ministry of interior has also formed a joint investigation team to investigate two suspects - Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim - who were arrested by Frontier Crops at Pak-Afghan border. Sources said the Scotland Yard team also showed interest in getting access to the other two suspects. The ministry of interior asked the team to submit a separate request in this regard, they said. Sources said that the two-member team keeps on holding meetings with the senior officials of the FIA and Ministry of Interior.
