The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam president and a former premier has urged the Supreme Court to set up a commission to carry out an immediate summary trial of 150 cases being brought on the National Accountability Bureau's list and give its verdict in a 12-hour open trial. Party leader Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain responding to the list released by the board said on Wednesday, "If my suggestion is implemented, this issue will end forever.
The proposed commission should start hearing from 9am, and its verdict should be given on the same day by 9pm... The commission proceedings should also be carried live and people should have permission to witness the whole proceedings." He also said that after filtering 150 cases, the hearing of the most serious cases should begin. "I offer myself to be tried first and everything will become crystal clear," he claimed.
