Flood-hit areas of Chitral: PAF's C-130 airlifts relief goods

On the instructions of the Government of Pakistan, the PAF is undertaking rescue and relief operations in the flood affected areas of Chitral. PAF C-130 aircraft carrying relief goods landed at Chitral on Saturday. While on its way back to PAF Base Nur Khan, it also evacuated 46 flood affectees from Chitral. The PAF has airlifted more than 15 tons of dry ration comprising Flour, Rice, Pulses, Oil, Milk, Tea, Sugar and Mineral Water for the flood affected of Chitral.
PAF has always stood shoulder to shoulder with the calamity stricken people of the country and has always been played its role in airlifting relief goods to far off and difficult terrains. On the special instructions of Air Chief Marshal, Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force a Crisis Control Cell has been established at Air Headquarters Islamabad to centrally monitor the rescue activities and PAF is ready to carry out relief operations in flood affected areas of Pakistan.
