Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said the sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was a conspiracy against democracy. Talking to a news channel, he said that PTI workers had attacked the Parliament House and Pakistan Television during its 126-day sit-in at D-chowk in Islamabad.
He said that Imran Khan had been using derogatory language against state institutions and national leadership, adding that the Parliament should take action against the PTI chief in this regard. The minister said that Imran Khan had levelled baseless allegations despite having no evidence of rigging in the general election 2013. Imran Khan told lies every day and wasted the precious time of the nation during his protest and sit-in, he maintained.
