Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and soon-to-be Prime Minister Imran Khan has a huge fan following around the globe since his cricketing days but after achieving the supremacy in general elections, Khan has entered the club of most followed world leaders on Twitter.
Khan has achieved seventh number on the list with 8.17 million followers on Twitter. He has more followers than Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who has 4.26 million followers while UAE leader Shaikh Muhammad has 2.9 million followers on Twitter. Khan’s party and his followers are extremely active on social media.
United States President Donald Trump is by far the most tracked world leader with 53.4 million followers while Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has 43.3 million followers.
The former cricketer is actively in touch with his followers on social media, his popularity has also increased from the last few years due to his presence on social networking sites. He ranking has been presumed to go higher up the list after he takes oath as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Oath taking ceremony of Imran Khan will be held presumably on August 11.
