Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, has signed a Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with four Research Institutes of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Beijing, China for bilateral and multilateral co-operation and collaboration in order to increase the capacity building of SAU, Tandojam. These MoUs were signed during the recent visit of Dr Mujeeb Sahrai, Vice Chancellor, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam.
Dr Sahrai along with Dean Faculty of Crop Protection, Professor Dr Maqsood Anwer Rustmani, and faculty members Professor Dr Muhammad Ibrahim Khaskheli and Dr Niaz Wahoocho was invited by the academy to visit its various institutes. The Chinese Institutes, which focus on Pomology, Cotton Crop, Vegetables and Fruits, will share their research findings, with the related faculty of SAU.
According the handout, Dr Sahrai informed that besides this MoUs, the CAAS has agreed to facilitate SAU undergraduate students for their internship at China. The Chinese academy has also waived off the tuition fee for five faculty members of SAU, on yearly basis. The delegation of the CAAS is also expected to visit SAU in the December of this year.
