Skill Enhancement Initiative implemented by Aik Hunar Aik Nagar (AHAN) in collaboration with the UNHCR and Commissionerate Afghan Refugees (CAR) has been re-launched in District Charsadda and Mardan for 300 female and 200 male including 25% (125) Afghan refugees to get benefited.
The Skill Enhancement and Livelihood Initiative Project - (III) is funded by United States Agency for International Development, UNHCR and CAR. The first phase of the training focuses on skill enhancement in which beneficiaries will be provided with skill trainings in 2 trades ie Leather Embroidery and Weaving. The Skill Training will be followed by Enterprise Development and Training on Market and Marketing. The skill enhancement phase will also include development of quality samples. The Participants will also be exposed to different business forums, institutions, and markets through exposure visits.
An exhibition at the end of the project is also part of the programme to promote the trainees and build sustainable linkages with other stakeholders. At the end of the training, Livelihood kit will be provided to the participants to commence income generation activities and utilise this opportunity as a sustainable step towards self-reliance.
