After solution of long-standing issue of a no-objection certificate by the Lahore Development Authority for the Punjab University Housing Scheme Town II, possession letters of plots were distributed among employees and teachers in a ceremony held at the Faisal Auditorium on Thursday. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Mujahid Kamran said that Raja Munawar made personal and sincere efforts to resolve various problems relating to the housing scheme.
He said that Khawaja Ahmed Hassan conveyed the reservations of PU teachers against establishment of Orange Train Depot at PU Town 1 land and on his recommendation, Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, who had instructed to resolve teachers' problem, approved the alternate plan and saved PU teachers' land.
At that time, the Vice Chancellor said, "We brought the issue of NoC of Town II to the notice of Khawaja Ahmed Hassan who promised the administration to resolve this problem as soon as possible and today's ceremony was a result of Khawaja Ahmed Hassan's efforts. Addressing the ceremony, Khawaja Ahmed Hassan said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had always kept resolution of teachers' problems on priority and the issue of the Orange Train Depot was solved. Social worker Raja Munawar told the media, "Our efforts had brought fruit today and Allah Al Mighty had helped us a lot on various occasions.
