According to latest meteorological and hydrological conditions observed by Flood Forecasting Division(FFD) Lahore the mighty Indus remained in very high flood level at Guddu and Sukkur barrages for the third consecutive day on Tuesday with respective water flow of 7,29,600 cusecs and 7.0 37,00 cusecs of water. The water inflow at the last Kotri barrage on the Indus River rose to 3,25,600 cusecs of which the provincial irrigation authorities were discharging 3,18,200 cusecs water in the sprawling Indus delta to fall in the Arabian Sea.
The FFD said that, "River Indus at Guddu and Sukkur will continue to be in high flood level for another seven days as a fresh flood wave in the Indus River at Kalabagh, Chashma and Taunsa will enter Sindh province in a few days.
Hydrological situation: River Indus at Guddu and Sukkur is in very high flood level. River Indus at Chashma, Taunsa & Sukkur is in high flood level. River Indus at Kalabagh, Kotri and River Kabul at Nowshera are in medium flood level. River Jhelum and Chenab are flowing normally.
