The employees of Dengue Prevention and Control Program Sindh were hired about four month ago on contract basis by provincial health department but unfortunately these employees have not been paid their salaries since their joining. The provincial health department officials concerned have been unable to get passed budget for the program to pay salaries to these employees despite lapse of four month.
The social mobilizers, spray men, clerks and other field staff are amongst the employees deprived of their salaries. On other hand, all the administrative affairs of Dengue Prevention and Control Program Sindh had virtually halted as provincial health department has not appointed new program manager on vacant post despite the passage of over one month.
