Punjab Governor for promotion of professional ethics among lawyers

Punjab Governor Malik Rafique Rajawana urged upon the lawyers to earn name in sacred profession and pay immense focus on the promotion of legal ethics especially among young lawyers. He was addressing to a ceremony of district bar association held here on Saturday. Rafique Rajwana, who is also prominent lawyer stressed upon young lawyers to concentrate on their professional responsibilities and pay respect to judges.
He lamented that the term "wukla gardi" was not used in past and added that there was huge responsibility on legal fraternity in dispensation of justice as they were in practical life and were not in student life. He suggested conduct of lecture sessions on professional ethics to groom potentialities of young lawyers. The governor observed that lawyers should make full preparation in their cases.
About judges induction in judiciary, Rajwana stated that he would try his level best to ensure maximum induction of judges in judiciary from South Punjab. The governor lauded incumbent government and stated that it was achieving numerous successes in improving economy and abolishing terrorism from the country. Rajwana claimed that matchless development working including mega project of Metro Bus was being ensured in South Punjab.
He added that a master sewerage plan was also in progress in the city. He maintained that Kidney centre, Cardiology and Children Complex were also being improved. Being Chancellor of universities, he informed that he was also paying focus on provision quality education in universities. He promised lawyers for provision of funding and creation of benevolent fund for welfare of lawyers. HCBA President Muhammad Ali Gilani was also present.
