Jordan's state grain buyer has issued an international tender to purchase 100,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat which can be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Monday. The tender closes on Wednesday, August 12, they said.
The wheat was sought in a series of shipment combinations in 50,000 tonne consignments between November 1 and December 31, traders said. Jordan made no purchase in its last wheat tender on August 5 with the same shipment periods. Traders said tender participants had been concerned about new tender terms under which traders should accept up to eight days of extra ship waiting time in port for additional inspections of cargos.
