Former MNA Nabeel Gabol on Tuesday filed a petition in the Sindh High Court, claiming that he received death threats from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain. In his petition, Gabol stated that Altaf Hussain is angry at him for revealing facts regarding the MQM. He said the Sindh government will be responsible if anything happened to him as the authorities have taken back his security. The ex-MNA said that he does not trust police and should be provided Rangers security. In February, Gabol resigned as member of the National Assembly as well as from the MQM.
