Appreciating the role of Parliament, Supreme Court and the military courts in elimination of the scourge of terrorism from Pakistani soil, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Friday said the solutions to all problems facing the country were possible only through the mutual co-operation of all institutions, while upholding the democratic values.
The Prime Minister in a statement issued here said he was happy to know that the savages involved in the brutal killings of innocent children in Peshawar had met their fate. "Though the parents will not be able to get back these loving martyred children, but bringing the terrorists to justice has given a sense of feeling to us and the parents that such criminal activities will Insha Allah soon be completely eliminated from Pakistan," he added.
The Prime Minister in this regard noted with appreciation the respective roles played in good way by Parliament, Supreme Court and the military courts. He said the way all the democratic parties by keeping their differences aside cooperated with government in the establishment of military courts, its results are now coming in the shape of elimination of terrorism, due to exemplary punishments for criminals. The Prime Minister said though the establishment of military courts was a difficult decision, "but we took this decision for the bright future of nation".
"In this respect, the role of our armed forces in breaking the back of terrorism is exceptional," he maintained. The Prime Minister said he was confident that the day was not far away when we will Insha Allah be successful in addressing all the problems faced by the country with unity and mutual co-operation. "In terms of law and order, today's Independence Day is far better and peaceful than last year's Independence Day, and I pray that the next year's Independence Day remains free from terrorism and extremism", he added.
