Leader of the CNG association Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha on Sunday said the army has restored peace in Waziristan after which many local and multinational oil and gas companies want to make heavy investment in that area.
He said Oil and gas exploration companies should be facilitated so that they can start operation which can change the fate of Waziristan and whole country.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Ghiyas Paracha said that FATA is a resource rich area where business activities will generate employment and revenue to support economy.
He said the army has sacrificed their lives to secure a future for coming generations by ensuring peace in South and North Waziristan which has resulted in satisfaction of masses across the country.
He said almost all of the Waziristan has been cleared except for densely forested Shawal Valley where the remaining terrorists are holed up awaiting decisive action by the army. Final operation in Shawal would result in lasting peace in the tribal area which will have a positive impact across the country. The battle in Shawal is going to be tough and bloody but not beyond the capability of our military, he said.
He said that massive investment in Waziristan by oil and gas companies would unleash new era of development as a report suggest more oil and gas in that area than UEA. He said that the hills of Tank are full of natural gas awaiting proper exploration.
