A spokesman of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) has clarified that loadshedding is due to energy crisis in the country and Pesco is not responsible for this. He said that in those areas where line losses are less and recovery is better, minimum loadshedding is being carried out.
He said that due to system constraints and to save the system from collapse, Pesco is compelled to carry out loadshedding. Similarly, low voltage problem is due to low pressure in transmission lines and grid system, which cause low voltage to the public, he added.
He further said that Pesco faces difficulties to resolve loadshedding issue due to illegal use of electricity which causes over loading of the system and distribution system trips again and again. He further said that Pesco is striving hard to facilitate customers and provide stable power supply to all parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Pesco requested for the cooperation of general public in conservation of energy and avoiding excessive use of electricity.
