SUP protests against alleged corruption in Sindh

Sindh United Party (SUP) took out the protest rally against alleged rampant corruption in the Sindh province during tenure of seven years of PPP-led government which ruined the province. The protest rally was taken out from Nasim Nangar and ended at Gul Centre which converged in sit-in protest there on Saturday. A large number of SUP workers and people from different walk of life participated, holding party flags and banners inscribed message of condemning the corruption and terrorism in the province.
Addressing the protest rally, SUP Head Jalal Mahmood Shah said the record corruption had been made allegedly during seven years of PPP-led government and because of that, Sindh province gave a look of ruins and destruction. Besides, it also witnessed a rise in the unemployment which also enhanced social evils within society, SUP leader said.
During Flood 2010, thousands of peoples lost their houses and other valuable items but nothing was done to rehabilitee them and whatever the funds ands aid received by PPP-led government was distributed among Jiyalaz (PPP workers) instead, he said. He urged federal government and Apex Committee to take strict action against corrupt elements allegedly involved in the misappropriation of public funds in the province. SUP leaders Roshan Buriro, Rehman Panhwer, Rasool Bux and others were present on the occasion.
