Sale of surgical instruments foiled

Anti-Corruption Establishment Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in collaboration with Saidu Sharif Hospital Police foiled a bid of the selling of surgical and other instruments from Gynea Ward of the hospital. The Anti-Corruption Establishment Police has taken the instruments into possession and the initial investigation has revealed the involvement of the staff of the hospital in the selling.
Circle Officer Anti-Corruption Police, Swat, Abdul Haleem has told the media that surgical instruments, beds and other goods including scrap were stored in the Gynea Ward of the hospital and they packed in a bag to shift them outside the hospital. The police stopped them and informed the police station concerned and the staff of Anti-Corruption Establishment also reached the spot. According to the driver of the pick-up shifting the goods, they were taking the instruments out of the hospital for sale. After taking into possession the goods, Anti-Corruption Establishment initiated inquiry into the matter.
