Provincial chief, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Professor Mohammad Ibrahim Khan has said that real change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be witnessed after local bodies' polls and powers will be transferred to people local level in real sense. Addressing workers of JI Swat in Al-Markaz-e-Islami Sangota, he said that they demanded phase-wise local bodies' polls under biometric system. But it was not accepted by the Election Commission and the polls fall victims of mismanagement.
He said that the people should not under estimate these polls, as it will result in bringing real change and public representatives at gross-level will be real powers while MPAs and MNAs will concentrate only on legislation.
The provincial chief JI said that if biometric system could be used for verification of mobile sim throughout the country; then why the Election Commission could not hold local bodies' polls on this sytem.
