The second round of negotiations between government and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) that was due to held in Punjab House Islamabad yesterday (Wednesday) has been deferred. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in a TV interview confirmed that the talks have been postponed. Names of separate judges from both the parties have been presented for the monitoring committee to be formed to address reservations of MQM.
MQM has given the name of former Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid. Consensus was to be arrived yesterday on the names of judges whereas matters have already been finalised between both the parties regarding the composition of the committee. The name of monitoring committee's head will be decided with the approval of the Prime Minister.
